Sonny joined Hughes Fire Equipment as a Service Technician in October of 2003. He came to us from a company where he worked as a machinist, and provided electronic automation solutions for industrial machinery.

Sonny has also spent 14 years as a Firefighter/EMT for Lane County Fire District #1, operating mostly Pierce Fire Apparatus, and periodically teaches pump operation training for the district.

Now, as the Technical Service Advisor at HFE, he assists customers with technical related issues and field's technical phone calls from customers and our shop / road technicians. His areas of specialty are Electronics, Hydraulic Systems, Foam Systems, and Pumps.

Sonny also works directly with customers to develop custom solutions to fit their changing needs and every once in a while goes on the road and works on the trucks.

 

Sonny has earned a Master Technician Certification through Pierce Mfg.
