Hughes Fire Equipment, Inc. Phoenix facility is currently accepting resumes for the position of Service Support Technician/Parts Runner. Some general information about the position is listed below. Resumes will be accepted immediately.
As a Service Support Technician with Hughes Fire Equipment, Inc. the employee is responsible for general shop maintenance and assistance. Employee must be able to conduct themselves professionally in stressful situations.
Essential Functions:
- Retrieve parts from local vendors
- Ship/Receive parts
- Shuttle drivers
- Wash vehicles
- Keep grounds clean
- Housekeeping
- Shipping and Recieving Duties
Secondary Functions:
- Communicate verbally with co-workers and staff to keep a safe working environment
- Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks
- Lift light and/or heavy parts on and off a cart, floor, shelf, etc.
- Operate a forklift/hoist for heavy lifting
- Operate hand and power tools
- Check and review checklists, work orders, and schedules
- Assist co-workers with lifting parts
- Recognize the differences in parts and tools
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience with basic hand tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within a manufacturing or service environment
- Two or more years of mechanical and assembly experience
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk over 50% of the work time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
