Under the direction of the Sales Manager, you will manage customer accounts and apparatus projects for fire and emergency departments.

 

Summary of Job Description:

 

As a Regional Sales Representative with Hughes Fire Equipment, Inc. an employee will manage, plan, and sell custom emergency vehicles and emergency equipment. The perfect candidate will maintain customer base via database tracker and maintain a good working relationship with each potential customer in their territory. The employee must be able to conduct themselves professionally in stressful situations.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Contact potential and existing customers to showcase equipment and provide knowledge of products and services
  • Maintain customer base via database and track potential and existing sales
  • Identify potential customers and form professional relationships with new and existing customers
  • Work with customer to generate product specifications and maintain file throughout manufacturing process
  • Work independently and in a team environment focusing on customer satisfaction and success

Skills and Expectations:

  • Organizational skills and able to track customer contact-CRM experience preferred
  • Ability to handle dynamic situations and flexibility
  • Professional sales training/experience
  • Ability to use multiple electronic devices: Computer, Phone, iPad, etc.
  • Ability to use multiple software products: MS-Office, Proprietary (will train), Adobe, etc.
  • Excellent customer relations
  • Dedicated follow-up and follow through with customers
  • Ability to sell quality over price
  • Must be Honest/Ethical
  • Positive and even-tempered
  • Presentable and professional

Basic Qualifications:

  • College Degree preferred or industry equivalent experience
  • Required: Dependable vehicle, cell phone, and home office or ability to create one

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Fire Apparatus ++, Fire Equipment, Emergency Response, and Fire Trucks/Vehicles
  • Commercial Driver’s License
  • Fire Fighter or EMT background
  • Product/Industry knowledge of Fire Equipment

Physical Demands:

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk over 50% of work time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

This is a salary plus commision only position.

Starting salary range: $55,000 – $65,000
